The Development Coordinator (DC) provides integral support for All-Options’ individual fundraising efforts and donor communications. Core duties include maintaining our donor database, processing gifts, coordinating donation acknowledgments, producing donation financial reports, and assisting with fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events.
All-Options is a nationally distributed organization with employees in California, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas. The Development Coordinator is a fully remote position and preference will be given to candidates based in any of the states where we already have employees. The DC reports to our Donor Relations Director (DRD) who is based in Ohio.
The DC is a non-exempt full-time position (35-40 hours/week), with a starting wage of $26-28/hour depending on experience. Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday with some flexibility in hours. Benefits include paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and time off at year-end; a simple IRA retirement fund with employer match up to 3% of annual salary; and an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Account of up to $512.50/month ($1,000/month for people with dependents) for medical, dental, vision, and other health premiums and expenses. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Data Entry, Database Management, and Donation Reporting (40% of the position)
- Maintain accurate and complete contact records in our donor database, including updating, cleaning, and organizing of data
- Keep up-to-date records and maintain email and mailing lists in our CRM
- Work with program staff to ensure accurate records of volunteers, donor interactions, and event attendances are maintained in all CRMs
- Help the DRD to segment, pull, and maintain lists for donor communications
- Process donations from third-party sources (such has ActBlue, Fidelity, PayPal, etc.) and add to our donor database, collecting as much information as possible for donor outreach and cultivation
- Prepare monthly financial reports from all sources of donation income for our bookkeeping and accounting staff
- Assist the DRD in coordinating and presenting fundraising statistics
- Work with the DRD to identify best practices for donor data management
Fundraising and Donor Cultivation (35% of the position)
- Process incoming checks and online donations on a daily basis
- Facilitate the 48-hour gift acknowledgment process among staff, generate acknowledgment letters/receipts, and facilitate acknowledgments sent by program staff for program-specific donations
- Assist with thank you calls, notes to donors, and other donor appreciation
- Assist the DRD with drafting donation acknowledgments and other donor communications, and periodically updating online donation pages and auto-receipts
- Provide support to DRD and ED around fundraising campaigns and strategy
- Reach out to donors for additional/updated contact information, and triage and respond to donor inquiries
- Coordinate welcome and stewardship communications with new donors
- Participate in and support virtual donor events, merchandise distribution, and all other individual fundraising activities
Communications and Communications Systems (15% of the position)
- Triage incoming inquiries via general organization-wide email account and website contact form in a timely manner
- Work with DRD and Communications Manager to support the weekly email process, including loading and formatting email content in our CRMs and participating in the Quality Assurance process
- Create graphics for online and print donor communications efforts as needed in Canva or appropriate Adobe application
- Serve as a backup manager of All-Options’ social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram when CM or DRD are unavailable
- Act as an ambassador for All-Options and our judgment-free, open-hearted approach to pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption
Staff Teams and Administrative Systems (10% of the position)
- Actively participate in regular 1:1 supervision, team, and all-staff meetings
- Assist with digital filing and documentation, in addition to helping to maintain shared Google Drive folders with other staff
- Work with DRD and ED to build a culture of philanthropy among staff, board, and volunteers to become better fundraisers and brand ambassadors of All-Options
- Provide occasional program and event support as needed

We are looking for a Development Coordinator who is passionate about reproductive justice and the All-Options approach, believes in fundraising as a way to build capacity and community, and enjoys the details and challenges of behind-the-scenes administrative work.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsible, organized yet flexible, enjoys working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences, and knows when to ask for help while also being able to work independently. Must be able to hold confidential information and function effectively in a nationally distributed and virtually connected organization.
While no candidate will possess every qualification, the following are highly desired:
- Cultural awareness and humility, and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse people
- High level of emotional intelligence, compassion, sense of humor and fun, and capacity for giving and receiving feedback
- Demonstrated commitment to racial, economic, and reproductive justice
- 1-2 year(s) of experience working in fundraising and development, including processing donations, coordinating acknowledgements, and maintaining donor data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, manage time and priorities, and work without significant day-to-day supervision
- Experience working remotely and virtually with a distributed team strongly preferred
- Proficiency with cloud-based programs and ability to learn new software; tools we use daily include Google Suite, Asana, and Zoom
- Experience using a fundraising CRM such as EveryAction, Network for Good or Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred
- Note that a college degree is NOT required
